AUVS Disinfection Chambers use UV energy and photon trap technology developed by Dr. Wayne Clark and his team for the Department of Defense to kill biological agents in moving air.

Our Systems work off of the principle that a photon can never be at rest. If a photon is between highly reflective mirrors it can make many back-and-forth bounces before escaping or being absorbed, essentially trapped in the chamber (for a nanosecond or so). The “trapping” of photons in the chamber increases the UV irradiance many times and the associated germicidal effect, making it extremely effective in decontaminating surfaces.
